The Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park, or Yeyahu Guojia Shidi Gongyuan as they say in China, is in Kangzhuang Town of Yanqing District in Beijing's northwest, not far from the Badaling Great Wall. It was designated as a National 4A-Level Tourism Attraction and as one of the initial national wetland parks in China, which are more than 50,000 acres in size (including marshes, reed beds, and open water). Over 303 species of birds are recorded in the park and it is a birdwatcher's paradise, a nature photographer's dream, and a family's gateway into unspoiled natural areas.
